    Facts

Pai Mu Tan tea is the highest grade of white tea that is readily affordable. The leaves are naturally withered, with no mechanical or chemical production processes. The top two leaves and bud are selected from the Narcissus or Chaicha bushes. These leaves show a very light green almost grey white colour and are covered with velvet, peach-fuzz down. The leaves are then naturally withered and dried in the sun. Pai Mu Tan tea strikes the perfect balance between solar and indoor withering resulting in a perfect white tea.

White teas are considered by some to be the purest in the world, with many health properties. White tea has three times as many antioxidant polyphenols as green or black tea. The spring buds are plucked, dried and sorted - no pan firing or steaming, no fermentation, just pure tea. Traditionally these teas are grown on small freehold plots so this is quite a rare crop which is in high demand.
