Rhubarb and cream tea contains luxury black tea, safflower, sunflower and jasmine petals, blackberry and lime leaves, and natural flavours.


The Victorians put rhubarb on the map and today, Yorkshire is the rhubarb growing capital of the world. The Rhubarb growing triangle of Wakefield, Leeds and Bradford covers 9 square miles and at its peak this area amounted for 90% of the world's rhubarb production.


The black tea base for Rhubarb Cream tea comes from the top three tea growing regions of Sri Lanka - Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula and Uva. These three high-grown districts produce flavourful teas that have classic Ceylon tea character, noted by floral bouquet and flavour notes, touches of mild astringency, bright coppery colour which makes it perfect for use as the base tea of this flavoured tea.


Rhubarb Cream Tea uses natural flavouring oils (rather than crystals) which taste good and do not mask the natural taste of the high grown Ceylon tea. They tend to be soft and subtle and give the tea a clear character compared with artificial flavours which can be overpowering and leave an aftertaste.
