We're looking for an Operations Assistant to work at our exciting and dynamic Coffee Roastery in York, North Yorkshire.

Job Title: Operations Assistant.
Job Role: Coffee packing and general operational support duties.
Purpose: All functions required in the production, packaging and supply of YCE products.
Key responsibilities:
  • Packing coffee, tea and other YCE products.
  • Blending coffee.
  • Grinding coffee.
  • Unloading goods.
  • Delivery and shipment of coffee, tea and other YCE products.
  • Customer service – answering the phone, taking customer orders and responding to queries.
  • Cleaning equipment and rooms.

What we look for in an Operations Assistant:

Knowledge:  Previous knowledge of coffee is not necessary but an interest in coffee would be a bonus.
Skills:  Teamwork, good interpersonal skills, IT competent
Relevant experience:  Working in a fast paced environment, working as part of a team, use of computers.
Other relevant information:  An enthusiastic self starter with initiative and problem solving skills.

Pay: £7.50 per hour (age related) reviewed after 3 months.

Hours of work:  Up to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm.

Part time options are available.
